CRIHI Presentations

Here’s what we heard some Edmonton communities say about new affordable or supportive Housing developments coming into their neighbourhoods.

In 2016, CRIHI began holding its first regional workshops in different communities across Edmonton.  These workshops provide both good information, and the opportunity for communities to speak & listen to each other around their cares, concerns and questions about affordable or supportive housing developments.

These regional conversations include neighbours from local community leagues, local faith communities, service providers and political representatives.

In the Spring of 2017, CRIHI had the opportunity to present some of what we heard at these workshops in a presentation we called:  “Beyond YIMBY”

Beyond YIMBY presentation begins at around ten minutes, after initial introductions by Rabbanit Batya Ivry-Friedman.  As presented to the Edmonton Interfaith Centre, and at the 7-cities conference on Housing First and Homelessness in June of 2017.

See below for the key presentations at our January 23, 2016 workshop
