Here’s what we heard some Edmonton communities say about new affordable or supportive Housing developments coming into their neighbourhoods.
In 2016, CRIHI began holding its first regional workshops in different communities across Edmonton. These workshops provide both good information, and the opportunity for communities to speak & listen to each other around their cares, concerns and questions about affordable or supportive housing developments.
These regional conversations include neighbours from local community leagues, local faith communities, service providers and political representatives.
Here are the links to what we heard in those conversations:
January 23, 2016 – At Hope Lutheran Church – Neighbourhoods invited to attend: Capilano, Goldbar, Fulton Heights, Terrace Heights, Fulton Place
October 29, 2016 – At Riverbend United Church – Neighbourhoods invited to attend: Rhatigan Ridge, Falconer Heights, Carter Crest, Bulyea Heights, Terwillegar Town, Greenfield, Henderson Estates, and Haddow
The December issue of the Neighbourly has a two page highlight feature of the Riverbend/Terwillegar conversation. Link is below:
